A short and steep cable car brings you to from Matt to Wissenberg (about 1330m). From there a popular tours are the Sunnehöreli (see here) or the “steeper” Fuggstock. The ascent is not really steep at all and quite safe until about 2200m. Above that is gets steep and rocky, and skiers therefore often stop at the ridge at around 2200m (which we did this Sunday). The landscape with the forest and pastures is spectacular in fresh snow. The views are great. And, if the sun is out, this area is really sunny the whole day. Thus the snow in lower slopes gets quite heavy or soft.
